Firstly, I can’t possibly express in words how much I loath my own photo. Just the thought makes me cringe. But if I want to get better at photography I’m going to have to learn to live with the odd self portrait, and I do mean odd. This one was inspired by another blogger who has a self portrait challenge on her blog. I got to thinking, I might as well try it. In this case I took the shot in black and white, rather than change it to b & w with software afterward. I did use photo editing software to get the final effect. I think this is the first photo I’ve ever taken of myself. Well, that’s probably not true. Anyway, here I am. Dark and graining, my best light.
